====== Database paths ====== The database paths define the directories in which Pcc should search for the databases. Changes may only be made here in consultation with the system administrator or Pcc support. To set the database paths, select **//System/More settings/Database paths.//** {{en:einstellungen:programmeinstellungen:pfadeinstellungen.png|}} Each Pcc installation consists of the local data (on the workstation) and public data (on the server). Lines one to three (1) indicate where the local data of the workstation is located. In this example, you can see that the Pcc programme folder can be found in Explorer under drive C:\. This contains the subfolder USER_1, which contains the local programme files and databases. Depending on the installation, there may be several "USER_" folders. The paths are edited using the Explorer symbol in the respective line. TIP It is best to always install Pcc directly on C. Please note that every Pcc user must have full access to the Pcc folders. The main data (2), which can be accessed by all workstations, is stored centrally on a computer (server). In a system with only one workstation, this can also be on the local drive C:\. TIP The main data directory contains all relevant Pcc data and should always be part of the data backup. ===== Manage account areas ===== {{en:einstellungen:programmeinstellungen:kontenbereich_verwalten.png|}} In the line **//Contribution accounts//** you will find the account areas that can be edited at this workstation. These are local settings that are made separately for each computer. Here you can tick the box to decide which account areas should always be displayed on a workstation. This is particularly important for the archive areas, which are not used everywhere in the network. To work in an independent account area, it must first be created. **//!The name of the account area must never be longer than 8 characters//** The account areas are created under the button **//Manage account areas//** button. {{en:einstellungen:programmeinstellungen:neuen_kontenbereich_anlegen.png|}} In this example, the new account area **//GASTRO//** account area is created. Pcc distinguishes between cash accounts (Basis: **//SALES//** or **//PRO-SHOP//**) and contribution accounts (Basis: **//CLUB//**). TIP Every newly created account must have a basic definition. In the case of Gastro, this is a cash account based on the **//PROSHOP//** basis. Confirm with **//OK.//** The new account area is now set up and automatically added to the **//Contribution accounts//** line. TIP Make sure you tick the box next to **//All postings//** and **//Empty completely (including articles)//** otherwise the data from the basic account will be used. With **//Start with this area//** you can set the area in which Pcc is started. Depending on which account areas you have ticked, you can work at the respective workstation. This can be set individually for each workstation. ===== Create links ===== {{en:einstellungen:programmeinstellungen:verknuepfungen_erzeugen.png|}} Under the button **//Links//** button hides the following options: * Create shortcuts on the desktop * Start Pcc with certain call parameters * Place Pcc in the autostart * Create or remove Pcc as a service This option can also be called up with the "lnk" macro. You must call this under **//Settings/Macros//** . {{en:einstellungen:programmeinstellungen:verknuepfung_erstellen.png|}} On the left-hand side, select the desired Pcc programme function and on the right-hand side, define where the link should be created. The button **//Create//** button creates the desired link. The Pcc services are activated using the buttons provided; contact your system administrator or Pcc Support for this. TIP If you have your own cash register computer, select on the left-hand side **//CASH REGISTER//** Pcc will then automatically start the cash register with the desired account area using the link. ;-) Below we describe frequently used shortcuts. ==== Teetime server ==== The Teetime server is installed using this function. Read more about the topic [[en:online:teetimeserver:teetimeserver|]]. ==== Complete data backup ==== It is possible here to make an entry for a complete data backup of Pcc. The local data backup is started at the touch of a button or automatically with the Pcc automatic night mode. To do this, make the settings as follows: {{en:einstellungen:programmeinstellungen:komplette_sicherung.png|}} - Select the "Pcc local complete backup" option. - Tick the options as shown in the screenshot. - Then click on the button **//Install as system service.//** You should now see the following button on your desktop: {{en:einstellungen:programmeinstellungen:lokale_datensicherung.png|}} :!: This is where the settings for the [[de:system:vollstaendigelokalekopieanlegen:vollstaendigelokalekopieanlegen|complete, local copy]] are made here. Enter the special parameter **//COPY_LOCAL//** under **//Settings/Programme settings/Club address, bank details//** under the button **//Extra//** button in the **//General//** tab. Double-click on the icon on the desktop to start the backup. As soon as you see the following dialogue, the complete data backup is working: {{en:einstellungen:programmeinstellungen:kopieren_vorbereiten.png|}} The first time the backup is started, Pcc performs a full backup. From the second backup onwards, only the data that has changed since the last backup is backed up. This speeds up the backup process considerably. :!: In the event of an emergency (e.g. fire, water damage, theft), Pcc Support can restore the data from the last backup in full as long as the data is also stored on an external hard drive in a secure location outside the company. This backup in no way replaces a server backup routine, which should be installed by your IT administrator. :!: You can find a simple form of data backup for the main data in the chapter [[en:system:schnelledatensicherung:schnelledatensicherung]] . :!: This does not replace the normal server backup. ===== Network configuration ===== {{en:einstellungen:programmeinstellungen:netzwerkonfiguration.png?nolink|}} Here you can configure special Pcc **//network configurations//** can be created or edited here. Please contact your system administrator or Pcc Support for this.
